With Mount Sunapee’s Ski Resort close by, skiing and winter activities are certainly plentiful in and around the Sunapee area. Southern New Hampshire’s biggest mountain is minutes from our properties and home to 66 trails spread out over 233 acres for skiers and snowboarders of all levels.

But did you know that six other ski destinations are within 30 minutes or less of the Sunapee area? Take a peek:

Pat’s Peak, Henniker NH

With over 28 trails for all abilities, nine gladed areas, terrain parks, a snow tubing park and 11 lifts, Pat’s Peak is home to one of the steepest runs in the region and some of the most challenging skiing in New Hampshire. Ragged Mountain, Danbury NH

Ragged Mountain offers 57 trails along 250 acres of skiable terrain. Their beginner terrain is ideal for learning, with two carpet lifts serving gentle slopes that won’t overwhelm new skiers.

Whaleback Mountain, Enfield NH

With a 700-foot vertical, four lifts and 31 trails across 85 acres, Whaleback offers outstanding and underrated terrain, a great beginners area and advanced glades and steeps. Whaleback is also one of the few night-lit ski destinations in the area.

Arrowhead Recreation Area, Claremont NH

Arrowhead’s 185 acres offer skiing, riding and tubing during the day and at night – all set in a cozy, quaint old-town feel.

Pine Hill Ski Club, New London NH

Pine Hill is an all-volunteer organization that maintains nearly 12 miles of groomed trails made available by generous landowners for classic cross-country skiing. Sections of the trails are also open for Nordic skiers who bring their dogs, as well as for snowshoers.

Eastman Cross-Country Ski Center, Eastman NH

Eastman’s 24 miles of groomed trails are open to the public for nordic cross-country skiing and snowshoeing with the purchase of a daily use or season pass. Sledding and ice skating areas as well.
